Hi,

In the future the room beside mine won'T be used in our mobile home. I am single you know. So i thought about brigning down that division or make a hole in it and build a tank out of wood in the other room. So that when i am in my romm i can view my shark tank.

I also don't want anything permanant. The max i could go would be 9 feet long by 6 feet deep that is the dimension of the room. I have read the articles here on monterfishkeeper and it gave me the idea. However i just don'T know if the dimension would be enough and if it can be done.

Even my irridescent sharks if they get to 3 feet. They would need a 12 foot long tank by at least 4 feet deep. So i would still miss 3 feet for my irridescent shark to be confortable.

I may also go for real small marine sharks. I feel allitle crazy with my 4 cats and maybe a dog and this big major fish tank project. You know for a lot of people fish are not worth keeping. :irked:

Get a girlfriend with a kid...it will be cheaper...

Ok, now that I got that out of my system...

To start your going to have to brace the flooring every square for a tank that size. Not much of a problem, just a bunch of concrete piers and 1" plywood.

This is going to be quite a committment, with water, chemical, food & electric bills so add it all up first.

Thats about the strangest thing i've heard.
Its a mobile home? what kind and size the reason i say that ifs its a 40' on wheels i dont think the electrical system will take it and the two beams that run the lenghth of most mobile homes are not up to the weight loads.

I Agree LOL

Forget it in a mobile home ain't happening..................

Spend the money on a down payment on a house, then think Monster Tank.

I think that there may be a bit lost in the translation here. I have feeling that you guys are thinking RV. A better word may be 'manufactured home'. I could be wrong but I thought I'd throw my $.02 in.

If this is the case then I could see no reason why a manufactured home wouldn't be as good or better than a traditional 'stick built' home providing it is on a foundation.
