I think I recall a member from that country mentioning that snakes are not allowed to be kept there...as for the sharks,I guess if they can eat their fins then they can probably keep them in tanks.

Actually not quite right... Since Singapore probably has the most strict and crazy laws in Asia...

I mean heck, chewing gum is still illegal there...

Singapore. You can keep everything but just don't get caught. That is the general concept we have here.

Reptiles are all banned. Only things like terrapins can be kept. As for sharks, if you are able to find them, why not. Provided you have the tank and space for it. I have seen shark eggs, probably from some small sand sharks sold in Marine LFS before and had kept them myself long time ago.
