shaving down glass

i have glass tops that are about 1/8" to big. was wondering what was best way to shave down to size? if possible at all?

Belt sander. Serious. Ask a glass shop how they clean up the edge of a glass pane they snap. I said snap because they don't cut it.

Take it to a glass shop and pay them to do it for u

If you pay someone else you will never learn. As mentioned, use a belt sander and go slowly, keeping the glass cool with a stream of water. If it gets hot glass will crack.
