that's right! my beautiful snow white socolofi is holding again! unfortunately i don't have the 75gal ready yet so she is terrorizing my other fish. after two weeks if she is still holding i am going to try and strip the eggs. any advice on best method of doing that? i got that you hold her and have only her head in the water pointed down into the fry net, but after that i'm clueless as what to do. . . ?

I usually have to take my pinky and pry open there mouth (and keep it open). Then usually gravity/the water does the rest. (IE dunk her the way you planed on it.)

They should be hatched, though they will still have their egg sacks. (But you shouldn't need to tumble.)

i'm sorry. i'm such a terrible person. i stripped the eggs today. =[ just she was going insane. i tried to keep her in a breeder net and she was attacking the sides trying to get out, but if i let her out she would attack my other fish. so i stripped the eggs. 4 yellow eggs (kind of shaped like tear drops) fell out of her mouth. will they survive?

I think there is a very slim chance that they will hatch. Do you have a tumbler?
I find it best to put a female in a tank by herself while she holds. She will want to be alone since she won't eat and needs to preserve energy. When she's ready, she'll spit.

As said you will likely have to make a tumbler. If they are just eggs that would likely mean that they really aren't more then a few days old. (Can you see eyes?) Else they actually might not even be fertilized.

She'll get pretty stressed trapped in a breeder net.

Is there no way you can set up a 10g temporarily? Or even just a tub.

If any of my female africans have eggs I just stick them in a 10g 'til the fry are freeswimming then move them back.
