I cleaned my tank today and every thing was good I came home tonight and my one ray has a red mark on it it doesnt look like a burn it looks like it may have gotten stung by the other one it is red and looks like it got poked and is swolen and red around where the hole is. I dont know how that could happen on top of the rays disk. I know it is hard to tell what it is by pics but I tried to get some. What should I use to help it? Salt? She is eatting fine and moving around normal. Water 84-85 Nitrate under 20 ppm nitrite 0 ammonia 0
any comments welcome

doesnt look too bad,
how ever cant really see

umm what is its tankmates?

i would keep the water quality good and it should heal on its own
thats what i would do
my rays have had pretty nasty cuts and wounds and they heal on there own
when they are in breeding mode the female gets really torn up worse then that looks
to me it looks like it got stuck by another ray if there are any

looks like a small gash to me... hope it heals up asap

Have never seen this question posted, but do rays ever sting each other?

I thought I read on the board's that it has happened accidently. Hopefully someone can confirm. :)

do you have a hearter in your tank if so does it have a gaurd on it

I do have the heaters in the tank but they do have gaurds on them. The tank mates are a couple discus and one othe sting ray. I want to post a pic of the other one because Im not shure what kind it is. They are male and Female could they be trying to breed? That was not my intention when I got them but Im not going to complain if they are.

sorry not the best pic this is the male if any one knows what it is let me know
