That's almost 40gls (~37).
Not to be a wet blanket but ANY Melanochromis sp. would be a no-no for a tank that size.
Their adult size and fould temperaments don't make them the best choices for smaller tanks.
If you can't get your hands on any demasoni you might want to try another dwarf species. Something like Cynotilapia afra, Cynotilapia sp. Lion, Pseudotropheus sp. "kingsizei" or Pseudotropheus saulosi.
