my 2 pikes were itching and now they are shedding their skin they are 8 inches long what does this mean? where the skin has already been shed their regular skin is fine? whats going on? is this normal or is it parasite or what?:nilly:

Fish don't shed their skins. What you saw is probably the fish shedding large quantities of its slime coat. What are your water parameters? What else is in the tank? Have you introduced anything new lately?

no not other then feeders thats the only thing thats been in the tank since they were babies the other fish they have grown up with since they were babies,

what should I do?

everything reads fine the only difference is I turned the heat up just a little bit because they were iching i thought they had ich...... the tank is now at 78 what should I do?

If this is a skin/slime problem only, I'd try some Melafix. If nothing else - should be good for a general treatment. We use for scrapes, battle-scars, etc.
Not sure what's happening to your vene's. - how many do you have?
78 degrees is fine, watch for signs of bacteria infection.
