Hello all, i posted about purchasing my first leopard gecko from a private owner about a month ago, right now my leopard gecko is on her 2nd shed and she has problems shedding the top portion of her head where her eyes are. It has been about 4 days that I've tried getting the skin off her eyes by doing wet cotton swab, warm bath, water misting and tweezer. 2 days ago I manage to get her left side of the eye skin off but still cannot get the right eye portion off. It seems stuck from its ear all the way to the front of the nose area. Any tips in getting it off? i notice today when i gave her a warm bath she opens a left eye and it was pure white... i moist her hide daily (especially when i saw she was about to shed) . She was still eating OK when the skin was stuck on her head.

Housing Condition: Her temp is close to 90 degree on the hot side. I have her on fed every other day on mealworms (gutloaded with whole grain oats and cricket calcium quencher) dusted with exo terra calcium + d3. For twice a week i would dust calcium (w d3) + multivitamins. I also have the supplements in a cap for her inside the cage.

She does not like being handle and would run away every time i would just touch her.

Thank You for any tips and advice, i appreciate it

David

seems like you are doing everything you can. I would just keep soaking her and be patient. I am sure it will come off eventually.

I usually put a wet paper towel and a like a crumple up wet paper inside especially when i saw she was shedding. I would then re-wet it every night.
