Hi just wanting to ask a question, ive moved my CRB into his new viv on saturday, and for the first day he was exploring everywhere and for the past few days hes mostly been in his hide, and ive been checking on him and i think he's shedding, he fed a couple of day ago and seem happy, just wondering if theres anything i can do to help him? Ive been reading my books aswell, his substrate is spaghum moss and his hide is full of it and ive given him a quick spray this moning too, just wondering if its normal for him to hide whilst he's shdding i always worry about my pets too much lol.

Thanks in advance.

Moss as a substrate is perfect, if he's gonna shed he's well taken care for.
Its pretty obvious we humans worry more then our herps.
Dont worry.
A CRB (guessing its the brown rainbow boa as in your avatar), knows exactly
what he needs.
If a snake is sick, he'll react strange.
If its hiding, spends a lot of time in the hot spot, or not. All normal.
Sometimes they decide to change their daily habbits. Or adjust them a little.
All we see is a snake doing something what he's never done before! Panic!
But dont, believe me.
Its hard to "read" a herp. Mamals are much easier.
And you replaced him, so its normal for him to be slightly upset.
He'll find his rhythm.

How long is the usual shedding time? I think he's been shedding or nearly a week no and he's spent most of that time in his hide.
it depends on the individual, but a week sounds about right.
