I want to get a shell dweller tank So far I just want tips and mistakes I know they need like 3-5 shells per fish and a 20 long is a pretty good tank I have a canistor filter for up to 60 gallons which I might need help setting up so it doesnt suck up babies Just need a few pointers Thx

Put a sponge over intake to prevent babies getting sucked up, 20 seems a little small but I don't have experience with she'll dwellers ( I was thinking about setting up a tank tho). I'm pretty sure aquarium co op sells the sponges already cut for intakes on their website

The tank sounds fine, that filter might be a bit strong for a tank that size. Just make sure they have clean water, a nice sandy substrate, and plenty of shells to choose from.
