Hey guys, This is an awesome shell I found while I was on a camel in the desert, it was sticking out of the sand and so I had to pick it up and look at it, Ive had it for bout 17 or 18 years now, and it still looks like it did the day I found it, Enjoy the Pics. ;)

I have a couple that aren't fossils but they did come from the coast when I was there I picked em up, ill look around to see if I have any (not sure where they are)

Wow, that is pretty cool. I want one. Im not sure if you should put it in the tank though.

Wow, thanks for all the comments, I will see if i can donate it to a museum, maybe not... MUHAHAHAHA lol I will take over the world with this one and only shell. :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

very cool. It's a fossil from when that part of the world was under the ocean. I wouldn't put it in my tank. The tank water/fish could possibly destroy or corrode it.

Nice gastropod. It looks like an internal mold and all of the actual shell nacre has eroded away. If it's from Iraq, the specimen's age would be between the Middle-Eocene (50 million years) to the Oligocene (40 million years). Most Mollusca from that area have never been studied and properly ID'd.
