Shelled prawn

What size would it be safe to feed shelled market prawn to a peacock bass.

what size fish or what size prawn? If it were mine I'd try and cut it up small and get them on it asap...IMO.

the fish is around 8-9 inch and the prawn is 1.5-2inch. His already eating it but the shell is pealed off. I was wondering is he can eat it now with shell on

I tried to feed my bass shrimp with the shells on, But they spit out the shells. I tried to feed them at 6'' and the shrimp where 1 to 1 1/2''.

Mine will eat it im sure of it. Im just worried if it will be bad for him because of the "shell bad for small fish".

shells contain certain beneficial nutrients the prawn doesnt.

Yep that's why i want to feed him shelled now. But im not sure if its good for him yet.

fish in general spit out the shell but if your fish is large enough to fit a whole shrimp in its mouth it may devour it with the shell on. bony tongued fish are the exception.
