I'm going to be freeing up a 20L, and would like to take a shot at shell dwellers. What stocking does everyone recommend? I would preferably like a semi-easy, interesting to watch fish. Also, if they're good-looking that is a bonus because I might be able to sell babies to the LFS.

Also any general tips would be appreciated. I have the basics...hard water...sand...etc.

Finally, are there any good-quality good-price sites I can order these fish from? My LFS doesn't carry them.

Thanks!

Where in Michigan are you? I know a few stores in my area that have them. I live in the suburbs west of Detroit. Let me know.

I'm far, far away from Detroit. Closer to WI and MN. I only have one lfs within a 150 miles or so. But thanks anyway!

Any general info for me?

Get Multis. Im not sure how liters convert to gallons, but that seems like a really small tank.

The gold occelatus are probably the prettiest.the meliagris are really nice too.I have multies to but not as pretty.Theyre all cool to watch, esp if the tank is in a quiet spot

The only ones I've seen in person were Neo. similis. They are striped and look cool. From what I gather they only get to be about 1.5". The ones that i saw were actice little guys as well. I was thinking of doing a small (10-20 gal.) tank in my office w/ a colony of them. The local LFS seems to have a constant supply of them. Probally from a local breeder. From what I've heard, it sounds like you have the tank and set up ready to go.
