Hey guys. Finally got water in my resealed 125 gallon, and upon doing so noticed that the water level is about 1/2” off from right to left. This is do to the floor of my apartment not being level (carpet over cement) and can be confirmed by taking a look across the room at my 75 gallon which is 1/4” off on the same side. Ive looked into this and read a lot about shimming your tank, and I am in the process of doing so. Ill attach a picture below. Am I doing this correctly? Any info is great! I really dont see how these small shims (1/4” at best) are going to help much, as that would only correct the whole tank to be 1/4” off which is still an issue. Help! I wouldhave to push these shims all the way in just to get the effect needed, and even then would come up short

As long as the four corners of the tank rest firmly on the stand, I wouldn't worry about it either.

I found this thread just now. I have the exact same problem with a new 125 I just set up on carpet. I am going to do what you have pictured above.

How did this turn out?

Thank you for input.

Instead of doing what the op did, i wouldve just cut a strip of 1/4" plywood to slide under the end of the stand. Should work for you too.
