Shiners

I would like to get some golden shiners and breed them. What do I have to do temp wise and water quality, and can they be bred in an aquarium? Is there differences in males and femals? Also what size aquarium would they need?

do you mean fathead minnows? i think they are possible to breed,the kind you see as feeders in the stores.golden shiner might be difficult,have you tried the search box on MFK? upper left,maybe that has been asked before

I was thinking about the golden shiners(Notemigonus crysoleucas).
I tried the search but shiners didn't come up.

well to keep them (for fishing) cool to cold water with lots of O2.

I meant that the search on this site didn't come up with much.
I found on google some info and it sounds like I would have better luck just letting them breed on their own in a pond.
