Hi everyone,
For those of you who still question why cost of certain fish stays high, this is what us vendors have to deal with sometimes. Today I went to Tampa to pickup a 10 box shipment, some of the fish meant for MFK were Cichla orinos, tems, and xingus along with some nice Umbies.
As I opened up the boxes most were great, all fish alive and well. As I opened up the Cichla boxes I could tell the water didn't look right and there wasn't much movement in the bags.
This is the end result of my cichla shipment:
The box containing the umbies didn't look right either and smelled worse. I lost the entire batch:
Now I have to fight with the exporter for DOA credit, may or may not receive any and I am out of the shipping cost and import fees accounted for by these fish.
For all the customers who inquired about the tems/orinos/xingus - I was only able to save 10 of them out of the whole shipment so I will be contacting you all in order of priority to verify which orders I can fill.
Sorry everybody
