I'm thinking of getting a o2 tank and possibly starting to ship fish I sell. but I'm wondering if any tank will work. I have a small tank that I got off my G/Fs dad that he used to use for his airbrushing when he wasn't around a compressor.

do you think if I took this tank to a welding place I could get it filled?

Or what would be the best route to take. I know the o2 isn't expensive it's the tanks.

Usually you can take your tank in and exchange it if it held a different gas. If you own the tank, you may want to have it setup for 02 rather than an exchange.

right now the tank just has compressed air from a air compressor. It used to hold Co2 before that but I have no idea how long ago that was.

I took one of my 20# co2 bottles in and exhcanged it for an o2 bottle so that I didn't have to wait for it to be certed and everything.

I'll just give them a call and see what they can do. I'm not sure off the top of my head but I think this bottle is only like 5# It's small.

Yeah it'll probably work. But realistically you'll probably have to call/take it to the place to make sure they can fill it or discuss your options.

Some tool outlets like harbor freight will also sometimes sell o2 bottles but they would need filled.

/Pure o2 is always best. But I usually use straight compressed air.
