I'm working with a fellow member on here to possibly have some fish sent to me and to keep it cost effective I was curious as to whether 2 days in the bag in transit was too long? There would be use of a heat pack as well as Bag Buddies/O2 tablets of somekind. The fish would be 2" Cichla monoculus (peacock bass). Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

2 days is not exceedingly long, but faster is always better. Also, shipping can be unreliable and 2 days may turn into 3...

I had fishes shipped to me within 2 days several times. The majority of the time, most made it out alive. One time, a fish made it even in the cold December. It is always a gamble thou for 2 days but I would do it again. Dont listen to me thou, I am a gambler.

This time of a year would be a better time to do the 2 days since it's not that bad weather wise right now as far as temp wise, not to hot, not to cold. Although it is in the 90's here in Florida already :/

it all depends on the shipper. if they dont know how to ship or they dont seem competent ship express. dont practice with priority. i shipped at least 40 times in the last 2 months and they were all fine except one, not my fault, took 4 days to arrive.

not too long. just make sure he ships at begging of week so they dont get stuck somewhere over weekend,.
Although not delivered on Sundays mail still moves seven days a week. I had a shipment sent Saturday and just arrived this Monday. What I would do is also have them go off feed for a day or two before so they dont poop and cause ammonia as well maybe individually bag. Problem is if one dies it creates ammonia for other. Lastly if this is priority mail, have it held at post office instead of delivered to house. This way you can get it right when it arrives as one time mine literally sat on the truck for most the day while in my city where as the post office was only a few miles away.

Is this the 8 dollar shipping you guys are talking about? With added Oxygen tablets and all the helpers to keep them alive.
