Shipping Live Fish

I have a question about the shipping of live fish. Bought 5 fish from a Vendor on here (dont want to go into which Vendor), but the fish were shipped on Monday and have yet to arrive. Looking at them arriving at the earliest on Thursday. They could arrive later, but I have no idea when they will get here because the Vendor wont answer my emails and I've called his phone with no answer and his voicemail inbox is full.

So my question is, can fish go that long during the shipping process? I've never had anyone ship me fish before and it take longer than 2 days to arrive so I have no clue what I'm dealing with here.

Good question, he wouldnt/wont give me an arrival date. Was originally supposed to ship them on Thursday of last wk, but gave some excuse as to why they werent shipped. Then said he would do it on Monday, but I'm not even sure if he shipped them then. Wont answer emails or phone calls.
 
i fu got 3 day priority they will come in thursday mornin and they will come in fine depending on size of fish

Don't mean to sound negative on here, but there is a strong possiblity that he either never shipped or the fish will be dead. I hope you paid for the item in a manner that you can get your money back. Also the fact that this guy has your money and now you can't get a hold of him for questions is terrible. Lastly who's idea was it to ship fish and thought that three or more days was exceptable. Even if they survive those fish would be so stressed out if not properly packaged and handled and if they went through USPS, they don't care about live stock to handle that well. I hope this all works out, but if you have not recieved your fish by today, you might want to start looking at trying to get your money back. The fact that he would not give you and arrival date should have been a red flag and you should have requested you money back. It's as if he was doing you a favor to ship your fish once paid for, that's not how it work.
I had an issues like this with a guy off Aquabid, from Texas, but I was able to get my money back from paypal after trying to contact the guys for a week with no avail. I hope you situation is not like mine. By the way not bashing online fish buying, I usually purchase all my fish from on-line and have been for at least 15yrs, and had never had any issuses until that guy in March. So purchasing on line is not a bad situaiton, its the bad person you may run into every now and again. Agian I hope this is not the case for you, just a case of bad communnication. GL

Yes, paid through Paypal. Quite certain that he is avoiding me, since I've been trying to contact him via email and phone since Monday with no response. He's a Vendor on here and he claims that Customer Service is his "top priority", but this is hands-down the worst experience I've had with any Vendor on MFK.

This is my 2nd time to deal with this guy, and the exact same thing happened the first time as well, so in part this is my fault for ever giving him a chance to do it again.

Hurt me twice.. shame on me.

The reason I am extremely hesitant to purchase fish online, is the remote chance something anything LIKE what happened to you will happen to me..
How much did this guy charge you for shipping?
 
I didnt actually go through with the purchase the first time, though. Backed out after he initially told me that my order would be shipped on a certain day and it wasnt. Shipping wasnt bad, about $28 USD.
