 "THE BOX BROKE"....I ordered some altums and the seller contacted me via email to let me know DHL had my package and the box was damaged and there was water everywhere. I raced like hell to DHL to get the box fearing for the worst of scenarios. Thank god the guy there was nice and kept fish also. He added some water to the bag that broke and put it in another bag so it wouldnt leak thru and the altums made it home fine albeit a bit stressed out. I think there should be new laws enacted on how packages containing live animals are handled. Anyone else with horror stories on shipping?

yeah never ship DHL because they are total idiots. they also outsource their shipping to third party shippers so the accountablity is just not there with them. the outside shipping company gets paid reguardless so they don't care how they handle their products.
One of their drivers raped one of my customers once before and since then I have strongly reccomended aganst using DHL.
Yeah you read that correctly. Sexually assulted my client. Well their maid.. But still.

I will NEVER refer them to anyone. Sorry about the sexual assault. Hopefully they got prison time, and worse then equal punishment from their cell mates.

No that has not happened to me with fish , but try having a dog shipped that is barking and trying to bite any and everyone near the crate.:naughty:

Oh by the way, I hope that @$$wipe get @$$ raped in prison.

Just had a UPS nightmare.

I don't even want to talk about it.
Dead fish.
Actually, stewed fish.
:(

Because some people are just sick...I dont think there should be a court date set, I think the firing squad should be lined up for people like that.

:( Sorry to hear that. I ordered a fish once, a 9 inch fh at that and had some concerns on shipping him so big, but we both convinced ourselves he would make it if done properly. I got him the next day, and he looked like he was parboiled. I vowed NEVER again to get involved in shipping anything over 5 inches.
