Shipping Question, Oxygen Tank

Hi all,

I'm going to start shipping fish and need an oxygen tank setup. Can someone advise on what tank, hose with valve, regulator and whatever else I need.

I called airgas and they weren't very helpful.

I bought the Air Filling Kit from Aquaticeco online and it includes the single stage regulator, 2 gauges, hose (10 ft), tip nozzle and fittings. It wasn't cheap but my local 'gas' company didn't have the proper fittings to make the assembly for me and I was in a hurry.

I got a 5# tank from the local 'gas' company and they refill it for me. It lasts me about a year but I only bag under 100 units per year. I suggest starting with the 5# tank at first, you can always upgrade later if you need it.

Well the problem with buying a used tank, especially the medical O2 tank in the ad, is that you don't keep the tank, it gets traded in for another one when you get a refill. I also don't know if Airgas & similar welding supply companies will take those styles.
