Great ad page 58 October 2008 Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine!
Way to go admins!!!

Page 101 has "Pin-Point" brand monitors....... I see they are for salt.
1) Does pin point have freshwater monitors
2) Any opinions on this product?
3) Comments, concerns or emotional outbursts?

yes, they have nitrate, pH, temp, and I think that is all that is useful for FW. Personally I would stay away. A friend had a nitrate moniter by them and it took between 15 and 20 minutes for a completely accurate reading (semi accurate could be had under 5... but still). Even the lower end Hanna monitors are more accurate than the average home aquarist needs, with great battery life, and an even better price. Plus, the sensors on Hannas are more resilient then pinpoint.

Hannas huh........hmmm.
Right now I am utilizing an API color card based system for NO3-, NO2-, pH and NH3/NH4+. It works, but just interested in knowing what else is out there and how my equip. compares (results and all).
Thanks Bro.

Don't let the F&S price scare you, I just link to them because it's easy to find most stuff on their website (plus they usually have more info than other sites). You can find all that for about 25% cheaper if you shop around.
