Denticulatus, wimple, and exodons can also be shoaled. pygos are definitly the best shoal imo.

any pygo, and also some serra's, geryi, sanchezi, and some other small ones, there alot harder to keep together without killing eachother though.

by pygo's we mean, red's, terns, piraya, and caribe

think it would be hard to keep a piraya shoal do due to their enormous size..these are the biggest Ps if I'm right, getting up to 24 inches...

the 24" piraya myth, has never been proven, only local fisherman stories.

Pygocentrus piraya

Maximum Size: 24 inches
Body Characteristics: Very similar body characteristics at the cariba and red belly. With its blunt head, red or orange underbelly and large silvery eyes with black bands. However three things define it from the other two. Its much greater size, tufted adipose fin and underbelly colour that rises along the side of its body like flames.
Distinctive Features: Large size, Tufted adipose fin, Underbelly colours rising along side of fish.

probably this only refers to wild specimens. still, it becomes very big and it would need a huge tank to keep adult specimens in shoal
