Shoot to Kill Order for White Wolf in Northern Idaho - 3
by Alex Robinson

Earlier this summer a white arctic wolf escaped a wildlife enclosure in northern Idaho called Wolf People. The wolf has since been spotted roaming a nearby neighborhood and residents are worried that there will be an attack soon.

In June Wolf People, a wildlife enclosure that raises wolves for educational purposes, noticed that one of its wolves dug beneath a fence and escaped. The group looked for the wolf, but did not notify Idaho Fish and Game, because they were worried neighbors would be alarmed, according to KXLY.com. After awhile they gave up the search and assumed the wolf was dead.

Eventually a resident spotted the wolf crossing a road, snapped a photo of it and brought the photo to Fish and Game. Wolf People only admitted losing a wolf after Fish and Game questioned them about the photo.

“We understand that people do have a concern and with this particular animal, if it is our wolf, it is not a threat to anybody, he's extremely nice,” wolf handler Michael Marzio told KXLY.com

I'm a little confused by the shoot to kill order.

Should be if needed then shoot to kill as there as been no sign of danger yet.

He's extremely nice......That's kinda what most owners say after their pooch has mauled someone half to death.

I'm a pit lover as well and have owned two in the past,I miss my Medusa.Problem is the good and decent owners like us and our well adjusted pits are not who gets the focus in the public eye.

Obviously, the place needs to be more secure and responsible.

I agree. IMO I'd feel safer around a Wolf in the streets then a pit bull.
WHAT? :WHOA: hopefully you're joking

i dont understand why they cant just try to dart the animal with a tracker on it instead of just shooting it..

i'm scared of rotweilers, pits, german shepards, great danes because they are huge, dobermans and any guard dog

pits get the worse rep because they are actually used for fighting, that's all. if i see a loose pit on the street, i'm not taking any chances, that's all i gotta say. one time when i was in highschool, leaving my house on foot to shoot some hoops me and my cousin came across a pitbull down the street dude, and we stopped for a split second and walked the other way and it ran towards us. i have no idea what it was gonna do and why but we started running and got back into my house. it just disappeared, that scared the crap outta me and i never trusted pitbulls ever since
