Strange practice.....

Mythbusters has an episode about fish in a barel, probaby find it on YouTube if anybody wants to watch it.

Looks oddly inefficient to kill fish.
 
what do they shoot them with....i mean you don't wanna eat a bullet lol last picture is sick! haha
 
The more I look at it the more I kinda dont believe it. The chances of cross fire and hitting the boat or other people is high given the location and situation.

and yet they are so proud of their work. wouldnt it be cheaper to just take them out and cut their heads off? do they have them netted between two ships? if so wouldnt they shoot holes in the hulls of the ships? hmmm
