This is just my opinion, but I wish retail stores wouldn't post stock lists online if they're never going to update them. I live in the middle of nowhere and there's only a handful of vendors and stores online that I trust and use regularly, like TUIC. Sometimes I have to look further when I can't find something and yesterday I actually ran across a store that had snakeheads on their list. My feeling is if vendors can't update them on a semi regular basis, lists shouldn't be posted online. I realize I'm preaching to the choir, but I felt the need to *****:)

hear hear, same with reptiles!!! i name my fish lol! its a pet not an orniment!

Yes they are and it seems rather dubious that this place would have them on their list........ThatPetPlace is another great store that does not seem to care much about keeping an updated on line list.

Yeah, smakeheads have been banned for years. I don't think this place has them, I think they've had the same stock list posted online for about a decade. I've been dealing with ThatFishPlace for about 15 years and they've really gone down hill. I used to live about an hour away and the last time I was home I went in there and it was depressing. There was a lot less stock and the prices had skyrocketed on most everything. I will say the staff still seemed knowledgable and the tanks were clean and the fish were healthy. Also, when I've ordered from them in the past the fish arrived in good condition. To be fair, a LOT of once quality retailers have gone south in thepast decade (I'm assuming a lot of that is due to the economy).

at the end of the day its a business, and every bussiness has overhead

Try finding some fairly local clubs. That's where I buy all my fish. There are swaps and auctions.

That's a good idea. Although I'm not sure how local any clubs I might find are going to be.
