Are short bodied Bichirs real...

If so, what size tank and how would I care for them...

There was a thread I read about a Short Bodied Albino Bichir

Yeah, they're real. But they are prone to health issues.

Is there a reason you specifically want a short bodied? A regular albino doesn't need a huge tank. A 40 or 55 would work.

I figured they would have been breed inhumanely using deformations due to tank size, but I wanted to know because I love the length of them and how they get fat, its like a pug... LOL... I was also wondering because I have two Polypterus Senegulas that are being upgraded from a ten to a 55...

They are inbred to get that way, not by tank size. You can do it, it's up to you... but I've read about issues due to their organs being smooshed.

Cohazard Cohazard can tell you that they are not my thing / my aesthetic at all. He has some and I pretend they're not in his tank, instead focusing on his gorgeous Mokes. ;)

If you already have Senegals their care isn't any different. 55 gallons is good. Clean water, a variety of food, and LID on the tank.
