Short Bodied Red Eye Tetras

I happened to check out the crappy fish section at our local Walmart, and saw the usual "mixed fruit" injected dyed tetras and brackish water dragon gobies and GSP's, but also saw two short bodied Red Eye tetras... I'll post a pic if I get a chance to get back there soon, but I was wondering if it was common to see that deformation in Red Eyes.

Not common (depending on supply and demand in certain areas) but I've seen them one time before.

They have some at the Petco in my city. They are not on my wish list.
