well, I'm glad to say that Jeremy, my short bodied blackbelt cichlid is doing pretty well and holding his own in my tank:)

yer, he's a cutie.
when I first posted pics of him people said he would be too weak and wouldn't survive but the little tinker gets no trouble from any tankmates:)
 
Looks cool. I prefer the normal looking black belt though, nice fish. :popcorn:
 
i do prefer the normal ones but i had to rescue the poor little guy as he was getting punked by his normal bodied brothers.

it was, "either he gets beat up and killed or I take him home and give him a chance"

i gave him a chance and he pulled thru and keeps me entertained with his crazy ways :)
 
I don't mine what people keep, but don't ever bred it, we don't need anything like that in the hobby.
