Does anyone know if male or indeed female Sb Green Terror's are fertile? I just purchased five and I'd really like to know if it's worth pairing them to each other or my Sb Green Texas or flowerhorn parrot.

In a perfect world I would get a Sb Green Terror X flowerhorn parrot spawn, a Sb Green Terror X Sb Green Texas spawn and a Sb Green Texas X Sb Green texas spawn.

Any info or helpful input is appreciated!

I don't actually have the Sb Green Terrors yet, they'll be here next week sometime. I do have a link to a video I made of the Sb Green Texas and my killin.

The Texas and Kiriin have grown a bit since then, more in girth than length. Hybrid growth rate is fustratingly slow. They seem to plateau in size for month's and then suddenly you look at them and notice they've gotten beefier or perhaps 1/4 inch longer.

I've had them since last winter and although they seem interested in mating they also seem like they aren't quite ready yet. I estimate their age at around one year, the three male's average 3-4 inch in length, the female is around 2.5 to 3 inch.

No one has any info on this subject? At all? Seriously? This is one of the largest online communities of aquarists on the net and not one person on here has ANY clue? Wow. Thanks for all your help guy's.

BUMP? Anyone? I realize that SA and CA will not cross (supposedly) but the orginal question was: does anyone know anything about short body GT fertility?

Thats a tricky question man

They could try, but I've never heard of this even being attempted,
as, correct me if I'm wrong, but Aren't green terrors part of the Acara complex?
If so I'm not sure they can crossbreed often sucessfully. It goes under the same umbrella as severum crosses with other species, which many say are impossible.

To the contrary, however, I have a convict x green severum right now that I've had for years, so who knows?

What I do know though, is that things like this haven't been oft attempted in the past, so not many people have knowledge of such things. Same goes with my fish, I tried to start a discussion about the possibility of a severum x other cichlid hybrid on here a while back, and the same thing happened to me.

If you want to, just give them the cues man
That's really all you can do

As far as a cross I'm not sure. From what little info I've managed to dig up on them they are at least fertile with each other
