Short Body Red Texas - Potential?

Just picked up this Red Texas last week. Was told it was male. Would this be considered Bonsai or Short Body?

Interesting...so faders do not have a flower line? Do we think this is a male? If so, he's seemed to take a liking to my female Texas. They are both roughly 3.5 inches right now. Keeping an eye on both of them to see what takes place.

I don't think they do. If they breed that'd be a nice mix.

I do think that its a female from last 2nd pic from which her ovipositor maybe, is sticking out

Bonsai Fader Flowerhorn

I'm almost positive it is male now. Him and my female Texas started digging a pit right outside a flowerpot. They are also tail slapping, swimming circles around each other and shaking/twitching in each others presence. It also looks like they are trying to clean the walls of the flowerpot. Keeping an eye on them to see what's to come.

Well they laid between last night and sometime this morning, now just waiting to see if the eggs turn white.
