Just got done doing some online shopping. Bought five 3 1/2"-4" short body texas, not sure on sex's, also bought six 4"5" synspila, three males, three females. Still waiting on word as to when they all arrive, should be sometime this week, I can't frigging wait! These two groups are gonna make the most awesome project's together! It'll be interesting to see how nice these sb texas are, I may need to refine the sb trait in this strain. I got them from ebay, and it seems I remember some one from mfk saying they bought sb texas from that seller and got varied lengths in the fish. Only one fit the buyers criteria as a true sb. Thats sorta perfect to me, one long sb crossed to a really short stubby sb will produce a little bit of everything, then I just choose the length I want. Dunno how well the syns will work, all I have till christmas is two 40 breeders and two 55's, hopefully they won't outgrow my tanks in that time! Texas tend to stay under 12", especially sb texas, so I figure I'm probably ok with them, the syns however could get too huge before I can get their (much) larger home. Of course I'll only keep just a few pairs in the end, I'm only getting so many initially to make sure I get compatible texas X syn pairs. I'll also have two sb texas paired to each other instead of syns, I suspect these males are fertile, but of course I have to test them. This next week or so should be a LOT of fun!

Congrats, be sure to post some pics once they arrive and you get them settled in.

Thank you! And oh yes, I'll treat everyone to a stunning 2 pixel rendition of them with my lovely camera, lol! Perhaps my camera's not that bad, but it's really not that great either!

The syns arrived live and well, but of course in typical Paraneetropolus fashion they're all being little drama queens. I remember bifas being the same way, even if you just move them from one tank to another, let alone with a shipping trip along with that, they do NOT like to be moved. It tends to stress them a little overmuch. Lot's of hiding, and drab coloration, bleh!
