What's a while? How long has it taken to grow from 5" to 10"? is it a big eater and what do you feed it and how much?

Only time will tell he seems to be growing pretty quickly...

very interactive and comes right to the front of the tank when I come in the room ready to eat...

Who knows what really constitutes a short body?
Geometry. The ratio of body length to height, length to circumference, body length to head length, distance between fins, etc.

I agree with Dazza, the proportions of this fish look normal with the only obvious defect being the long axis of the skull is not aligned with the long axis of the body / backbone.

Interesting sounds like a short body thing is down to a science...
Haha, I presume you are being sarcastic and it's funny too ... but anyway, not quite, science describes the range of normal bodily geometry for the species ID taxonomic purposes. I, for one, think it'd be trivial to extrapolate from this knowledge what an abnormally short body would mean / constitute.

Just my thought. I am no authority, nor an ichthyologist. I am mister 2 cents reacting to your nihilistic statement in form of a rhetorical question :)
