short finned eels

sad my 3 foot short finned eel died this past week and i went to every local fish store and nobody sells them any more ive looked on line to buy another but cant find anyone selling one anyone have any clue where i could purchase a small one.

Links and web sites would be helpful.

P.S i live in Denver Colorado

I think it would be MUCH easier to get an American eel instead.

ugg why dosent any of my normal fish sellers online sell american eels either any one know where to buy some at then??
google has failed me and i just finished calling my lfs to see if they could order some both came up as no....

Sometimes live eels can be found in asian markets.

Asian markets and bait shops during striper season. Pet stores don't really sell them.

You can also go out and catch your own, but I don't think their range extends into colorado.

well another month goes buy ive looked at every fishing bait shop and asian market and no luck with either short finned long finned or American eel

if only i could go drive and catch my own

You might look up screen name lotsofish on aquabid.com. He has helped me in the past locate odd things that I could find no where else. I to live in Colorado (Aurora) actually is the city and it can be a challenge getting things that are not so common. Good luck
