In catching the fish or in transport etc. it must have been broken off. sorry, they do not grow back. Very nice spots though.
My two male motoro's have short tails also. not quite as short as yours but they are still short.
nice lookin peruvian motoro though.....,
The long tails are definetly nicer but....., they dont make or break the apperance of the ray...., many rays have shorter tails than they should..., as this is common in the wild as well....., it just happens...
My female peruvian motoro has a short tail as well....., and I still love her....
