I've had a group of cons for probably a year now. As luck would have it only one is a female, and it's shortbody. It's paired up with the largest male, a nice jet-black boy with long fin extensions...they claimed a cave, they dig holes, he kicks the other 2 males' @sses if they come near, but no spawn. I don't really care if they spawn, and if they do I'm guessing the poly and/or gar will pick off most of the fry anyway, but I'm surprised they haven't. Are shortbodies commonly infertile? I know some are fertile but is that something you see sometimes with shortbodies?

they're probaly fertile you just have to see if they spawn. The conditions must not be right for them(not neccesarrily husbandry wise just they might feel secure enough yet or something. They'll spawn in a few weeks more then likely.
