Ok i am really tempted to buy a flowerhorn but we don't have much selection here in NZ and I'm nto sure we can import them, not that I would be allowed to anyways. SO my question is would it be worth buying a few fry from this pair?

If i did I was thinking I could try crossing a male to a female parrot I saw In a petshop 20 minutes drive from my town?
Any suggstions etc

Looks like alot of trimac traits in them. If thats all you have to work with I would grab them!

I wouldn't want them. I'd rather have purebred fish than ugly flowerhorns. Good quality flowerhorns > all

I have to say no... I also would rather have pure cichlids then those FH... Get a pure Trimac. It would look much nicer but very similiar to these...

If it seems like an opportunity that won't come back then I would definitely do it. It would suck to look back and feel like you missed out.

It's easy for people to say no way to these fish if we have access to high quality fh's. It's all about what you can get. Like in the ca forum. Folks overseas would kill for a festae and being sold mayans and other striped juvie cichlids. I feel bad for those that have to settle for fish that are less than desrable!! Good luck with what you decide.

I was thinking the same thing as Cam and Bean. Try to find some high quality SA/CA cichlids. They would be nicer and better quality in the long run. Check into a barred midas. Love mine, he's an F1.
