Should Female Flowerhorn be given more food after laying eggs?

My female flowerhorn shrunk considerably after laying eggs. Her belly doesn't get big no matter how much food I give her. I fed her almost 2x the usual amount and her belly remained basically flat. Is this normal?

This is normal. No need to over feed as she will always go thru a skinny period after laying eggs. Atleast from my experience, is that the female will lay eggs about once every month to every other month, afterwards they get real skinny for a week or 2 before they start to get their full figure back.

So yeah just feed like ya normally would and she'll go back to being normal within a few weeks.
