my 180 currently houses a 12' male bocourti, 9" male severum, 7" male fenestratus( who will be rehoused soon, due to aggression) a 9" lima shovelnose, 3 silver dollars 4-7" and a common pleco6". I am considering the purchase of a 12" true parrot. Any thoughts?? the bocourti is king, he never does any harm but chases the others if they get in the way.

that might work... shovelnose get really big though so you might want to take him out.
otherwise that might be a good mix

change up the decorations before the parrot gets put inside so everything is kind of new :)

FYI JohnPTC - the man with the 10,000 gallon tank - told me the only fish he's ever had to remove due to aggression issue's were shovel noses - so you may want to consider that.

Personally I would take the parrot of the catfish any day, they are absolutely beautiful fish.

i second that. plenty of people have cats, not many have true parrots. you could always get another cat easily, may not have such an easy shot at a true parrot.

get that parrot from rapps bro you wont be disappointed

you should of let me know before you came down and we could of ordered parrots together ! lol
