Should I add live rock to temporary coral holding tank?

I've set up a temporary coral holding tank for a few frags while I set up a larger system. I've read different opinions online as to the amount of waste corals produce so I'm not sure if I should add live rock to the tank or not. Any advice?

If anything it could only be beneficial but ultimately it's your choice. It also depends how long this temp tank will be set up and if you move it too the larger one.

All corals will eat. So with that said they must also expel waste. Live rock has your biological filtration. Do you have some other form of bio filtration on this holding tank? I'd say and have set up coral qt tanks you need full filtration including skimmer if you want those corals to stay healthy.

I didn't realize corals produce a noticeable amount of waste. My nitrates jumped so I had to move the corals back to the main tank. But next time I'll be more prepared. Thank you both!
