I want to add at least two green terrors (around 3-4") in our 240 gallon tank; my question is will it be safe to do so? Current community consists of one green severum(8-10"), two jack dempseys(8"), two fully grown jewel cichlids, two green terrors(stunted at 5-6"), three parrot cichlids(5-6"), two black skirt tetras, one yellow african cichlid(6"), and a common pleco(10").

Would like to hear your opinion thanks!

careful they might breed

That is a tough call as fish have differnt attitudes just like people. We have a pair of festae in our 230 they have spawned twice with no casualties but another pair might kill all the other fish in the tank. Best thing is try and make sure there are enough hiding places if anyone needs one. Sometimes cichlids just suprize you how well they can get along.

I would definitely not add 2 more GT to a tank that already has two. If any of the 4 pair up, it could be disastrous for the other two. I would definitely not do it. I'd go with another species instead

Alright, thanks for the tips! I really wanted to add some that would grow full size and not stunted like the two that we have now. I'll see if I can start a new tank then :)

or get rid of the two and start with new GT's...but don't just keep adding GT's because the ones you have don't look like you want them to
