in my little tank setup of 20 gallons i have a endli which i love alot i raised it since it was like 4-5 inches he is now 7-8 inches long but not as fat and stubby looking like the ones ive seen at my LFS should i be worried? he eats alot i cant seem to see how hes almost the same size as some of them at the fish store but not as thick? but honestly i think mine looks alot better cause hes more proportioned so he looks sleeker than the rest but it bugs me to know that others look alot thicker and lighter than he. i have black sand and it brought out the darker colors in him now he looks more beautiful than ever!

please reply with inputs and ill post pictures in a little bit when my gf gets home from work lol she has my camera.

and also i have a RTC thats growin big in the same tank should i be worried that it might eat my bichir?
the growth rate of the RTC is faster than the bichir too.

You should not worry, endlis differ in thickness from specimen to specimen. For example wild caught ones stay more slim and captive bred ones tend to grow wider. As long as it eats well you are fine :)

yeah i have a 75 gallon tank but not planning on setting it up till i move into a permanent location. right now im renting a room for 350 a month till i find a job in the pharmacy somewhere in orange county im stuck here.... i might have to put my RTC for sale if it decides to out grow my endli....
but right now i have 3 tanks set up 2 10 gallons and a 20 one of the 10 gallons is the guppy breeding tank and the other one is for my gfs fugu puffer..
the fugu puffer swims up and down the tank alot i have no idea why but so far in my 20 the endli likes to perch on the lava rocks and driftwood while the RTC likes to burrow itself and make caves where the base of the rocks are.
