Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Well I purchased a kilin parrot from Petzone 2 weeks ago and it came with ich. Didn't have a hospital tank setup so I had to put it in one of the 55 gallons with my bonsai and 2 female parrots. So naturally everyone got ick. Its finally gone but yesterday I noticed that my bonsai has been developing white splotches it. It doesn't look bacterial, I think its reacting to the salt I put in the tank. I treated the tank with 1-2 teaspoons per gallon and coppersafe. But this is the first time I have used so much salt. He doesn't look swollen or anything and hes acting normal just not sure whats happening. Little turd wouldn't hold still for a picture. The first pic is from a few days ago and the rest from a few minutes ago.

Like I said it doesn't look like fungus or bacterial. I don't think its a fader.

Don't know about the white splotches the pics are good but it's hard to tell. He could be fading. Keep dosing with salt every water change but don't overdo it. If he had ick he's going to have it for a while and yeah he gave it to all his tankmates too. Just because they don't have white spots they're still carrying it if they recently had it. Keep the water clean 82* dosed with salt and lots of aeration to get rid of ick. Just keeping doing the right thing and your fish will be fine.

The icks gone but I was thinking it was the salt and coppersafe doing it to him. Changed 20 gallons and moved a bunch of stuff around so now hes all pale and still adjusting so I will have to wait a bit for his color to return to see if he still has it.
