Should I be worried? Area of discoloration on tail.

Just got home and noticed a discolored portion on my flowerhorns tail. Looks like a piece of scotch tape, not fuzzy. Never had any issues with this guy. Only plastic plants as deco and he's eating fine and acting normal. Should I be worried?

I would check your water perimeters and monitor closely. It doesn't look too bad. But better to be safe than sorry !! Beautiful fish Btw .

Thank you Tanya. Yeah it's been a pleasure owning him, thus all the concern. Did a 25% water change today with epson salt and melafix. I don't really think melafix works but had it laying around so dosed a half portion. It is still obviously there. I wonder if it's a scuff from the filter intake.
