Came home early tonight cause I wasn't feeling good. Noticed a big scratch on the front panel of glass. It feels pretty deep when I touched it . It looks like it might be spreading. I just got the tank and didn't notice it till now. Should I be worried and is there anything I could do to prevent it?

Size of the tank? Depth specifically and what fish does it house? Correct me if I'm wrong, this on the inside, right? Pictures?

Its a 75.21" high . Its got 3 1" gts a 2" festae growout and 5" retic stingray grow out. Yes its on the inside. I tried taking pics but my cell is great so its not visable.

Only time can tell. If it's pretty deep and it spreads, chances are that once it breaks, all hell will break loose specially if it's just glass. Your water depth, tank size and fish housed in it tell me it is a non-issue. Monitor it closely. As far as I know, micro-cracking spreads in all directions so having a deep gorge in your glass panel that travels only parallel to the glass thickness looks more like a scratch produced when cleaning (and sand got in between the scrub/sponge).

Yeah I'm a little concerned cause I have a 8 month old so the last thing I need is a tank failure. I will keep an eye on it if it continues to spread ill take down the tank. Hopefully before its too late.

Thanks for the help and quick reply. Happy new years.
