almost all the seams in my 100g acrylic have white "bubbles" in them, mainly along the inside. i bought the tank used and it has held water for 2 days now with no probs but should i be worried? this tank was a SW tank so i think its salt/calcium that has crapt into the voids of a poor bonding job. should i dry it out and try some weld-on for good measure?

as long as 75% of the joint is sealed, and you dont have huge air bubbles your fine. that looks like it should be fine.

If I just picked that tank up and noticed that I'd probubly reseal it. It's a sign that the thin edges of the seal are starting to pull away from the glass. It may well hold for a number of years without a problem so this is a judgement call on your part. It's a marginal problem at this point.

its acrylic, not glass or i would just resilicone it.

This is what happens when you miss one word in a post....LOL Disreguard my previous post....fill the tank and enjoy it. I've seen quite a few acryllic joints like that on salt tanks. and I've never heard of one failing.

the joints on this acrylic tank, are what most acrylic tanks end up looking like. about 90% of the joint is actully sealed amazingly well and there seems to be no huge bubbles. if it would make you feel better theres something called acrylic cement # 14, you could always put that on the inside of the tanks around the joints, let it dry for 2 hours. but that tank wont leak.
