Should I breed convicts or guppies?

Since I've decided to make my main tank my 40b with a red wolf and emperor pleco, I have a spare 55 that I'd like to breed some sort of feeder fish.

I'm thinking guppies because if the wolf just ignores the feeders I don't want abunch of annoying cichlids to deal with lol.

Guppies or swordtails/mollies, their body shapes make them much easier for the fish to swallow them and they also lack the sharp dorsal fins that cichlids have that could injure your fish.

Get 10 guppies, 4 males and 6 females, and within a month your 55 will be full of them. Just throw a ton of moss and other hardy plants in there for the fry to feed and hide in.

Breed guppies. Convicts will produce more fry once they start going, but it'll be more of a hassle if they don't pair up, or if the male is too mean, etc. etc. Guppies dying won't matter as much.

Thanks for the responses Petco has their fancy guppies 1$ each right now so once they open today or tomorrow ill go grab 10.
