Should I breed this Betta.

It is a halfmoon that the original owner got from big Al's and it's now a little over a year old. It's free some I'm gonna take it. Is it worth breeding. It had fun rot so the fin aren't the best but do you think he might creat some nice fry if I get a nice red female for him?

Go ahead! Here are mine planning to start introducing them to females real soon. Yellow/pink with blue/black little scales halmoon. Blue/black body with red fins and black outline on the fins halfmoon or fullmoon. And finally my ashed grey plakat male. Best to find females in petsmart. $2 for crowntail females 99c for veilteil females.

you've got an extended red halfmoon boy alright and a beaute
a couple weeks in a gallon with a drop of bettamax and he will good as new!
GO FOR IT.

I dont think MFK has betta threads. But anyways those are the 3 I have right now. But petsmart told me they get some new betta females every week. The plakats in a 10 gallon so will sefinetely use that tank as like a female betta community tank. Planning on getting a kong betta like the ones that grow 3"+ not including fins or elephant eared halfmoon plakat. I change my water daily from my 125 g tank. Very easy to maintain even with betta bowls which are 2 gallons. Hopefully be able to breed soon to introduce quality bettas in SD county!

thats not a bad looking halfmoon. however, if you get a nice sexy halfmoon or OHM(over halfmoon) female they may likely have some nice babies. but to get a nice female your gonna most likely get it off aquabid from thailand. as finding nice betta's in the state is pretty hard

petco has halfmoon females, just ask them to order them because they ususlly dont have them im stock, trust me. I KNOW. LOL
@dragonfish70: I know me some about that 1 dollar female betta thing they got going on. last time i bought al 9 that they had. LOL
Im going to have to agree though, good stock from thai breeders or michigan.
