So right now i have my 75 on a black iron stand. It was my dads that he used during the 80's until he stopped keeping fish then it sat in the basement since about 2 years ago. It does have surface rust but ive had the 75 on it for a lil over a year. Do you think it will be ok or should i start looking for a new one?

well its just surface rust throughout it from sitting in the cold basemant with the empty tank on it but seems to be fine and if it was gonna break i think it would have.
If it was just surface rust and you have addressed it, I think it will be fine. Its all about peace of mind. If you are worried about it, you can make a simple skeleton stand from 2x4's for about $25-$35.
