A craigslist discovery, I'm planning to go see it tomorrow afternoon.

(Yes, I see the oscar in the tank- maybe greentree will take him from me.) I don't see any filter on the tank, do you? The lady emailed me back saying that it came with two filters and one on the side, so I'm thinking she may be referring to an undergravel filter. The top of the glass above the water level looks terrible in the pic, hopefully that gunk comes off with some elbow grease.

Pics attached below. Let me know if you would buy the tank (and assume the burden of caring for the oscar if you had to keep him) and the price you would pay. This was in the ad: "It comes with a black stand, lights, bottom rocks, and one fish a oscar." This is what she emailed me: "It has two filters and on each side."

Well...what size is it? You could turn it into a nice tank...also what's the price?

whats wrong with keeping oscars? i have four,,,hehe
what size is the tank? whats the price?

Nothing wrong with keeping oscars, but I will not be able to get him the tank he needs in the near future. On second glance, there looks to be too much iridescent blue in his stomach area to be an oscar? Either way, I'll probably get to see him.

Tank is a 55. Price is definitely worth it. Just wondering if it's worth the time to try to clean the glass?. It looks terrible to me, but I'm not sure if the muck is on the glass or floating on top of the water.

it really doesnt take that much to clean freshwater algae off the glass, water and a course sponge at most.

i would get it regardless if its a decent price.

I'd pick it up for sure.

i'll get, the hard water stains will come off easy with a 1000 grit sand paper and viniger and water.

i would also get it, i got a tank which was absolutly caked in algae and scale<from hard water> it did not take long and looked as good as new, for the crusty scale i just used a very sharp knife edge..........

looks like a good pick up to me. how much do they want for it?
